LAB REPORT : CuOH SYNTHESIS

We are studying about mass relationship. We synthesize Cu(OH)2 by adding copper sulfate pentahydrate with the sodium hydroxide. We convert the amount of the reactant from grams to mole to be able to find the limiting and excess reagent then find the theoretical yield. We record our actual yield and use it calculate the percent yield of our experiment.

I am assigned to select a molecular compound and find it physical and chemical properties. I choose N2O which it scientific name is dinitrogen monoxide. Dinitrogen monoxide can be used in various way such as an oxidizer in a rocket, food additive, and in surgery for it pain reducing effect. This work help me have more understanding about the different between physical and chemical properties.
